Fun Times at the Waterpark

Yesterday, we went to the Yogi Bear Jellystone Waterpark with our friends, the Hellrungs. This was our second trip out there. The kids had a blast!

aubrey kate's first time playing with play-doh was when she was visiting her friend, caroline. she had so much fun i bought her some the next day!

A Cowgirl In The Works?????

Well, maybe not.

Michael was off today, so he took his girls out to eat lunch at The Mellow Mushroom. After a delicious lunch, we drove down to the Mississippi Farmers' Market to see what kind of fresh produce we could find (we ended up bringing home a watermelon). We were on our way home, thinking our day was about to wrap up, but then we saw some horses at the fairgrounds. Since Aubrey Kate loves to look at horses in books and make horse noises, we thought it would be a great idea to let her see one up close. HOWEVER, as you can tell from the pictures, she wouldn't have anything to do with it! It scared her and she held on tightly to her daddy. The sweet lady who showed us her horse informed us that they were doing barrel racing in the equine center and it was free, so we went in to take a look. Aubrey Kate watched the horses race for about an hour. She had a great time seeing all the different kinds of horses. After such a big day, she was pooped! We ended our day with a nice walk through the neighborhood with Chloe, one of Aubrey Kate's sweet friends.

family update

well, this is our first go at attempting to blog. many of our friends have pages, so we decided to jump in and follow along. after one year of kindergarten, twelve years of elementary, middle, and high school, four years of college, four years of medical school, and three years of residency, michael is finally working as a family doc for a local clinic. he seems to be enjoying his job, learning the new routine, and seeing some interesting things from day to day. we are so thankful for his job and the incredible way God has blessed us up to this point. we are living in rankin county and i am holding down the fort as a stay at home mom. our daughter, aubrey kate, is 17 months and never ceases to amaze us. some of her favorite things are elmo, m&m's, and playing on the playground. keep checking back every now and then for more updates and pictures!

This is our first run at having a blog - still not quite sure what exactly that is. Will try to make it more up to snuff.
